Rohingya of Myanmar: One Year On

Rohingya of Myanmar: One Year On poster

A year ago, the course of Rohingya history took a dramatic turn for the worse.

Years of deep seated hatred for the Rohingya community, having lived on the margins of Myanmarese society, unravelled from a civilian dispute and attack in Arakan, and has since spiralled into systematic ethnic cleansing of the community.

The Rohingya are still continually discriminated for their difference in appearance, religion and language, leading to their desperation, displacement and ultimately, death.

One Year On.

The Struggle for Recognition of Rohingya Rights Continues.

Join us for an exclusive film screening of a documentary covering the aftermath of life in Arakan, after the initial conflict one year ago.

The documentary film-maker will also be joining us via video call from Thailand on the night, to recount his experiences and take part in a live Q & A.

Please email rohingya@restlessbeings.org for any questions.

Press welcome.
