Amina Khayyam will share a short presentation of Kathak dance incorporating Nritta (pure dance) and Nritya (storytelling through narrative).

Bangladeshi born and trained in UK with Alpana Sengupta and Sushmita Ghosh in Kathak dance, Amina creates new work using cross medium form such as theatre, technology as well as presenting classical work with live accompaniment. She’s currently touring Yerma presented through her company Amina Khayyam Dance Co, touring nationally and internationally, while also developing her next work Amad, based on true stories about women in the Arab Spring uprising.
