About Restless Beings

Who Are We?

Restless Beings was set up on the 31st of October 2007 to create a network of like-minded multi-national professionals and students from all backgrounds, cultures and creeds. The organisation was founded by strong minded individuals. The project came to life after years of anger and frustration at acts of marginalisation that were and are occurring across the globe. This anger turned into a passion and a desire to make change for persecuted, poverty stricken and voiceless individuals and communities and taking responsibility for our local and national environment so we can protect, preserve and enhance our natural beauties and resources. Restless Beings officially launched in the public sphere on the 1 of May 2008.

Why Us?

As our name suggests we are an organisation tired of talking about initiatives and are more concerned with acting upon intentions. We are restless beings who collectively use our skills and passion to give to those children, mothers, fathers, friends and families the rights they are entitled to and the sources they should have access to. Through this network, Restless Beings organises and host events to raise awareness and generate money for a myriad of causes across the world. In addition to this, we have a holistic approach to dealing with and diluting social causes so any changes made have a rippling effect on surrounding community and enable us to develop our projects organically.

Our organisation has a flat structure which means should you wish to volunteer your time and effort or should you have an idea for the direction of the organisation, you will have a platform to do so. This enables us to be a bubbling hot pot of ideas and fresh approach and creativity and we love to hear from other restless volunteers who want to use their time and skills to make a difference in intimate, hands on and bold method.

We believe in keeping administrations costs at zero which means every penny you donate will go to the cause and project we work are working on.

Restless Beings is a platform for you, me and all our volunteers and supports to discuss ideas on how to heighten awareness, raise funds and participate in projects for the underprivileged. These ideas we then deliver with a shared passion for serving humanity and the environments by striving towards a goal to erase the struggles of the silent/silences communities and providing aid to those who lack basic human requirements.

Our Work

Our campaigns focus on the communities that are being marginalised and made voiceless. The struggles of a person or community being persecuted because of their religion colour, abilities, social positioning and class is never a justifiable matter and as long as it exists, our restlessness will continue. This may be loud approach but it's time for us to work against such inequality. This energy is what we apply to every cause and we try to do this in the most creative way possible; working closely with artists, models, actors, film makers and musicians. We hope our bold approach is welcomed and you too can convert all that frustration at the world you have within you through worthwhile causes and projects.

Restless Beings is not affiliated with any political organisation nor does it intend on commenting or campaigning on political issues. We are an open organisation for open minded, out of the box thinking volunteers who are concerned with human rights issues and providing for the unfortunate; regardless of their age, background, creed or colour.
