Advancing the rights and well-being of marginalised communities through bold advocacy, direct action, and holistic humanitarian efforts.
Restless Beings is an international human rights organization and UK charity dedicated to supporting the world’s most marginalized communities through advocacy, activism and humanitarian response. We put communities at the heart of everything we do. Through deep consultation, grassroots engagement, and research, we ensure those we support lead the decision-making process—shaping solutions that truly meet their needs.
Across the world, far-right politics is rising—driven by greed and fear. Human rights are cast aside for power and profit, fuelling war, oppression, and genocide. Since 2007, we have been the only human rights organisation to bridge the gap between advocacy — in academia, policy, and media — and humanitarian response — through relief, aid, and grassroots programmes. We confront injustice head-on while delivering life-changing support to those most affected. Our strategy is simple yet powerful: make rights-based journalism accessible, mobilise grassroots action, and deliver high-impact support where it's needed most. Restless Beings stands independent—free from state or industry influence, powered solely by the public and thousands of supporters worldwide.

Grounded in dignity, driven by trust, and led by marginalised communities to create lasting change.
Most human rights organizations take state support—we don’t. Our narrative is ours alone.
Our local teams drive every action, ensuring humanitarian response is based on community input and designed to meet community needs.
With roots in the communities we serve, we uphold dignity above all—no exceptions.
Built by dedicated volunteers, our advocacy and efforts are driven by compassion, experience, and unwavering commitment.
Restless Beings was founded in 2007 with a clear purpose: to stand alongside the world’s most marginalised and silenced communities. What began as a small, determined group of activists has grown into a global force for change — relentless in our fight for human rights, justice, and equality.
From conflict zones to forgotten corners of society, we’ve worked hand-in-hand with communities to provide urgent relief, amplify unheard voices, and challenge injustice at its root. Our work is not about speaking for others — it's about ensuring those most affected have the platform, resources, and support to lead the fight for their own rights and dignity. Today, Restless Beings remains driven by that founding spirit: bold, unwavering, and deeply committed to those the world too often overlooks.
We believe the most impactful solutions come from within the communities we serve. We partner with local activists and leaders, ensuring their voices lead the way in shaping our initiatives, creating authentic, community-driven change. Our work is guided by a fundamental belief in the inherent dignity of all individuals. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of transparency and accountability. Every action we take is aimed at earning and maintaining the trust of the communities we support, and our donors.
Our approach is focused on creating long-term, sustainable solutions. While we address immediate needs, we are equally committed to building the infrastructure, knowledge, and support that ensure lasting, meaningful change. We prioritise inclusivity in everything we do. Our work is driven by the voices of those most affected by injustice, with a deep commitment to elevating the perspectives of underrepresented and marginalised communities. We are constantly learning from the communities we serve, adapting our approach to meet evolving challenges. Our commitment to innovation ensures that we are always finding better ways to create lasting, impactful change.
